Bought the farm

My wife didnt like the campers on the back lawn so Saturday I bought some grazing land for the Burro, 170 acres in Lansing Iowa overlooking the Mississippi! I cant wait to spend a weekend there in the Burro, love these views. I will be developing the property starting next year, with roads, utilities and cabin style homes.

Beautiful land Scott! What potential!
Are you planning on developing year round cabin homes, or seasonal rentals?

May have to hold a boondocking rally there sometime LOL!!!

I plan to build year round homes, sell lots so others can build thier own dream home. The property is less than a 30 minutes from La Crosse WI and two-hour drive from Waterloo Ia, Cedar Rapids Ia, Dubuque Ia, Madison WI, Rochester MN. and less than 3 hours from Minneapolis MN, Rockford Il & Mason City Ia.

Ok, why can I suddenly not see pix?? I checked my settings and under "Thread Display Options" I have "Show Images" checked. Is there something else I need to do? It's not just this thread, cant see the pix on any forum/post etc. I was able to view the video of the Oxygen in the For Sale Forum so I'm all confused now......

No I live in Minnesota but have a vacation place in Iowa, this land is 60 miles from both places.

3 times now I have changed my location back to Minnesota, but it keeps going back to Montana I have no idea why???? Guess I need to ask the administrators.

Ah, good to know you're closer!

BTW, thanks to you for the help with my "sagging door" meltdown. I haven't forgotten it----my daughter got in from Germany for a 2 week visit, so I had to switch focus! I'll be back to the camper after Sept. 11!!

Not to far from our place. And they thought God only wanted Southern Iowa. Here's what we look at all day.

We're heading to Decorah this weekend, but not with the trailer. We're going canoeing on the Upper Iowa River, but have to head back home Sat. night. Thus, we're staying in the Super 8 for Friday night. My folks still live in Decorah, we we'll get a chance to see them, too. Beautiful area!

Possible spot for a group camp outing someday... Sampson Springs Campground... about 10 minutes east of Decorah toward Waukon near the Old Stage Road. They have a trout stream next door and lots of friendly critters. Water and electric available, too, but the bathrooms are a bit rustic. Rates with water and electric are $18 per night.

When I was about 14 in Boy scouts we did a 3 day canoe trip on the Upper Iowa river near Decorah. Loved the many rapids, beautiful sandstone cliffs & the resulting memories of that trip - need to return there someday! Good to know there are campgrounds in the area!
