Smile brought our 1969 Flat-top Boler home

Hi everyone!
We are new to this site...very happy to find it..its so nice to see ones that have the same passion for camping life! We are very happy to own a Boler...I love the retro feel and the era when it was first made...happy and simple times...we went to see a couple of Bolers but we werent sold on the ones we saw...either asking too much or it was sold in hours of it being put on KIJIJI..hot items for sure. I will be replacing all the cushion covers and curtains..and need to put back the sink..and convert the sitting bench into a usable bunk bed space....the previous owners converted that space for storage..we will have to find bunk bed poles or find something that will work...we noticed a small leak on one of the end windows..so my hubby will work on that...the whole thing about this that is fun too is making it your own taste..we are looking forward to having this our winter project. O and our serial number or production number (i think thats what you call it) is # 89...so does anyone know more about the model 1969 flattop boler? does that mean ours is the 89th boler to be made? not sure how that works...any info would be great..thanks guys!..o and the little white box on the side is a cd/radio with speakers that the previous owner put it...very cool.

Welcome to the forum, Sarina and Gav. I love the older eggs too. They just have so much character. Your little Boler looks to be in pretty good shape for its age. I know you'll have fun fixing it all up and many happy times taking it camping. Keep us posted on your progress.

Welcome! Hope you really enjoy your new trailer.

You will find lots of info on an on going thread called Egg History - Boler Descendents - you may also want to post your serial number into to that thread as well as they are keeping tabs on them.

A flat topped boler! How lucky can you get? Congratulations. It'll be the hit of any camp out with other bolerites. I've only seen two or three in the years that we've gone to boleramas.

Hi James...I just heard of Boleramas...that sounds fun!...We would like to take a trip to BC this summer..it would be neat to go to at least one (maybe 2) if were lucky..I know there is one at St. Malo provincial Park in Manitoba in Aug..I wonder how to find out if there are any in other provinces along the way?..

I have a correction for you, you have a 1968 Boler not a 1969. The first 100 Bolers made in 1968 were Flat Tops. You should bring it out to the 4th Annual Fiberglass and Vintage Camper Rally in St Malo the 3rd weekend of August 2013. I have made hints about the next Rally over the last few months since the last Rally but will put it in the calandar in Janurary 2013.

We had 45 trailers at St Malo in August. They consisted of Bolers Scamps Surfsides Trilliums Bigfoot even had a Sprite and for the Vintage side we had a Shasta and a Apache.

I am sure you will enjoy your Boler.
