Trailer: 2005 13 ft Scamp

I think I want my bunk beds changed into a dinette, in my 2005 13' Scamp, and am anxious to see some mods at the July Oregon gathering. Will also need a compartment under one seat for my "porta-pottie." My only concern is weakening the overall strength of the trailer. Will there be anyone there that would be able to remodel my rig to match their dinette? Will talk about it at the gathering. Marg

I can't see how a nicely done modification you've considered would weaken the trailer.

It might weaken the resale value, though, if that's of any concern to you.

Here's a nice conversion in an earlier thread that is just what you're wanting.

Or, if done using quality parts and in a professional modification style, could very well increase the value of the trailer.
