Camp Ground in Dodge City

Spending 2 nights at the Roundup Campground in Dodge City, nice tidy and very clean campground the lady who runs it runs a tight ship here. 4 washing machines, same in dryers, Washing machine costs $1.25 per load and dryer costs 25 cents for 10 minutes. Men s shower room real nice and clean, whole place is clean and there is a gate that locks the place up at 9PM but if your already in then she gives out a pass code.
Only bad thing about Dodge is the huge and I mean huge Feedlot on the east side of town and if your coming in from that direction the smell is pretty bad, thankfully the Roundup is on the complete west side of town.

Is this a new campground? Last time I was there the only two (besides the casino) were Gunsmoke and Water Sports. Maybe one of them changed its name.

This is where I camped the last time I was in Dodge City - Front Street. 1980 - Part of a cross-country backpacking trip.

: but if you want to camp with a tent and a trailer I do not think it is possible to have them together, trailers up top and tents are located below but nice place with all grass for tenting and everything else sits on Gravel.
THis has to be one of the cleanest I have been in for a very long time also have nice pool here and it is clean to.
Thankfully we just missed Cowboy days in Dodge, this place from what I hear was crazy with people, cars, trucks, MH's, Tents, trailers, u name it. I think there is now a new campground at the new water slide, but by the time u get to the top in this heat your might not make it down alive for heat exhaustion of getting to the top in the first place.
