Camp Where App
Anybody know what's up with the Camp Where App? It's no longer available through the Apple App Store.
I think I paid $5 for this app a couple years ago after reading about it in this forum. I found it to be useful in finding public camping.

I don't know what happened to it!( Camp Where ) I just looked and the closest I could come to it was All Stays Camp & RV-Tent Companion for $9.99.
I know it was there in December 2013 because I checked then & had it on my Christmas list.I didn't get it My guess would be the maker was updating it or something,I am going to keep it on my Wish List and maybe it will come back.

I just purchased the All Stays app and I must say I am very impressed. I have yet to use it on the road but it was an excellent tool on my iPad to plan the trip and check out places to stay. I can see this joining Gas Buddy as a top travel app on my phone.
My other go to apps are Evernote and Storm Shield. Check out the later for weather alerts while traveling.

I have one called Camp Finder that was free. It's worth every penny. But seriously, for a free app, it's very good.

I hope it's just a temporary deletion. It's a good app. Glad I got it on my phone.

POST SCRIPT NOTE: After reviewing your original post i do see you were asking about the apple version...i had just read about the android version a couple days ago.
Do you mean the "We Camp Here" android/apple ap? It is still in the android app store:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...ere.wecamphere
and in the apple store here:
https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/we-c...502385529?mt=8
I don't have the ap, though i've read good things about the WCH ap and also the All Stays ap.

Hi Thom,
Yeah. I was referring to Campwhere an IOS app by Big Nerd Ranch. It is/was a good app but I'm afraid it's no longer updating. I have searched the web and have yet to find anything mentioning them going away. I ran across a post on the Casita Forum where someone had noticed the same thing.
I do have Allstays now and it looks pretty good.

AllStays is one of my best apps in any category. Don't be turned off by the price. It's worth every penny. It has LOTS of filters that make searching for things very easy. Also, almost everything in the app is stored locally, so no connection is needed for almost all of its features.

I put RV Parky on my Android. Will be using it on a trip in a couple of weeks. Tested in my area and it seems to work well. Cost was ziltch. Also have the Good Sam Camping App. Not sure of its value yet.

I too like the Campwhere app. I started research to replace my aging iPad. When I found no android version I suspected something was up. Judging by the web site I think the developer, Big Nerd Ranch, may have gone in a different direction. Still a good app, just no up dates. Raz
Edit: For those not familiar with Camp where, it is focused on public camp grounds; state, federal, and local.

I suppose as long as the app is still accessible on my iphone, I will keep using it. The CGs I like to go to (mostly inexpensive forest and municipal CGs) don't change very much. Even if not updated, the app should be valid for several years.
