So where is the power unit for the central vac system? I'll just bet it's in a closet somewheres instead of your basement, but you had to love that 'Flower Power' look. I didn't care for the green apliances but ours were harvest gold. In fact they still are. I used a spray-on epoxie apliance paint, after 40 some years of use, to make them white and just re-did the oven this past week.

My hippie is just getting brave enough to grow the mustache back. It's now uniformally gray. No long hair or earrings. In fact our sons would not even think of piercing or tattooing anything on their bodies. They were shocked at the dinner table one night, when they were young and my husband requested my earrings which he put on for them.
