Camper Names and Themes

Hey everyone, I decided on a name for my boler and a theme. Is there a specific thread that people post on about their themes and names? I can't seem to find one. I am planning on calling mine the "Pine Cone" but don't want to copy someone else.

The PO of my Scamp had redone the cushions with a Route 66 fabric. I named the camper Bobby, for Bobby Troup, who wrote the song. Nat King Cole made it popular and it has been covered by everybody and their dog.

My Daughter has a Hurricane motorhome named Katrina, and a Dutch Star that made them think Death Star, so they named that one Vader.

How much "theme" are you willing to go for?

Probably not that extravagant, although, those are some nice looking trailers. I was thinking of a nice light wood color for the bottom half, white on top, add in a few pine cones related to types of pines that grow in Manitoba. Something along those lines.

And then it would be "Woody".

I think you should call yours whatever makes your heart sing. But we do have a member here "PineConeDon," and once a trailer called the Pine Cone: http://www.fiberglassrv.com/forums/f...one-42864.html

If you care...

Thanks Donna. I do like the name, I'll just make sure to not paint it the same.

Since my Hunter is red, I detailed everything inside with strawberries, and named her Berry

We named our 13' 1971 Boler "Suite 13"...

"Suite 13" is furnished and equipped with the follow luxury features:
  • Mickey Mouse decor
  • firm high density foam double bed
  • memory foam twin bed
  • climate controlled 5000 btu a/c
  • full wet bath complete with sink, shower and cassette toilet
  • 19" LCD color television
  • wireless blue tooth speaker
  • 1.6 cu ft. refrigerator
  • toaster oven
  • Coleman 2 burner propane stove
  • Coleman portable gas grill
  • overhead storage via custom wood cabinetry
  • 16 gallon on board water tank
  • Seaflo 1.6 GPM 35 psi 12vdc water pump
  • Fastair propane tankless water heater
  • City water hook ups
  • WFCO 30 amp 120v and 12 VDC power center
Not bad for a 13' foot room that goes where you go...

I like the name I too am trying to figure out a name for mine. I think it would be tough not to have the same name as someone else. Kinda like having children! Lol

We chose "Peanut" for our 1973 amerigo--one shell with two nuts in it. We have a bed at each end and it's narrower in the center so the basic configuration suits the name as well.

The theme isn't peanuts. My goal was "soothing," with pale natural wood tones, white, gray, and pale blue...but we gradually created a zoo.

We have a tin pug coffee plaque, a sheep throw, a reindeer throw, a tiger blanket, a dolphin blanket, a hound-dog neck pillow, 3 pug pillows, a ladybug colander, fish linens, a fish wall hook, starfish, crab and snails on a beach towel curtain, a monkey name "logo," a pug decal, a Sac n Fox thunderbird decal, and 2 live pugs.

All the animals in the zoo
Are jumping up and down for you,
Hoping that you'll be sure and plan
A day at the zoo (a trip in the rig)
As soon as you can.
....
Animals,
Animals,
Animals here and there...
Animals animals, animals, animals...
Animals everywhere!
-- from a 1960s Portland, OR Zoo ad song
