We heading to the Festival of the West in March in Scottsdale, AZ and can't find anything that seems like a decent campground. We found a giant parking lot at WestWorld (where the event is held) and a small trailer park next to a car lot and a busy highway called the Scottsdale Trailer Village (or something like that). Neither look very welcoming. Any advice or recommendations???

If you don't mind "Commuting" to your event, try Usery Mnt. Park.

It's in Mesa, and rush hour travel could take an hour or so, but it's a nice park with electric for the AC and lovely views and location.

The shooting range nearby can be a bit annoying, but I don't know what kind of use it gets during the week.

How close do you want to be?
There are nice spots in apache junction, farther than the mesa suggestion, lake pleasant is another...how developed do you want to be, power, water or sewer ect.

Greg,

Ur going to have a tough time on that one, cause the land got so valuable in that area a few years back the ol developer wiped out anything decent that is close in.

This would be a really good option that would be close, and in a very neat area to explore as well. Not too many people know about this particular park or that it even has rv sites. This should be a good location for getting to your event as well.

Cave Creek Park

This park is located in a very "rural residential" area with a lot of expensive custom homes and horse properties, but the park is set in by itself. I'm not familiar with whether they take reservations.

Hope this helps....
