Kinda like when you were a kid and waiting for Christmas .
We are about 3 months away from Spring camping .
Many of the campgrounds in our area do not open until the period from May 1st to Memorial Day . The ice on our lake was not off until late April last year
Winters seem to be getting longer ,the older I get !!

Exactly Steve! To be fair, it was warmer than normal here (a bit) in December, but since the beginning of the year, it's been arctic brutal. Local weather guy says this cold arctic air should be outta here by the end of the month.

NH questions for Tony. Again this August our son is renting a cottage on Conway lake, I think it's in North Conway maybe. We have camped near there to meet up with him the last two years, first at Cove campground (not impressed with) and then last year at Chocorau KOA. The Koa was good but considerable way from son's cottage. We were considering Saco River campground. Any opinions or advice. Finding mixed reviews about Saco River CG, stopped there one day but they wouldn't let us in to look.

Edit; cottages may not be in North Conway, but Cove CG was closer than the KOA

Sorry about Justin bieber. We didn't have any where else to put him.

This chat got me thinking. I'm going to be looking for a camp site In BC, that has a small cabin in good working order of coarse.( For my Mom. Its hard for her to get in and out of the trailer) And a camp site that I can park the BFF and a class C near by. The Family wants to meet and have thanks giving(Canadian) out side. I'm looking in the areas of Kalowna, Osoyoos, Princeston , etc. Any body have any ideas?

Check out NK'MIP RV Park | Camping Osoyoos
Nk'mip campground and rv park.
They have yurts and rv sites on the lake.

I lived in Buffalo, NY for about 15 years, and hated the winters. But the summers made it worth it! The East Coast is getting it really bad this year...I'm glad I'm still not there, but I do miss the wonderful campgrounds, good swimming, and beautiful scenery of upstate NY. Letchworth is a beautiful park and a great place to camp.Shady, large sites, and lots to see, if I remember correctly. I belong to a camping group here, and have about one trip planned per month from now right through October. Hopefully, some shorter local trips will pop up too!

Hey Jane,

Wish I could follow suit and get the heck out of Buffalo! This winter has been one of the coldest in my recent memory. So much snow they don't know where to put it anymore.

I live in Niagara county, but if I didn't have ties and responsibilities here, I'd be off and out of state at retirement. Probably won't ever be feasible for me as my brother is brain injured in a nursing home. Out of state places aren't keen about taking disabled Medicaid patients. But if I win the lottery, he's coming with me!
