Cool

happy canada day!!!
just said goodbye this morning to alf and maryann, from the north shore of lake erie, who overnighted here and are making their way to cape breton island today. had a wonderful visit, got to see "up close and personal" their escape hatch 5.0 and enjoyed a backyard campfire --despite the fine mist mother nature felt it necessary to challenge us with ! this forum is truly a wonderful opportunity to make new friends, share the love of camping in general and love of fiberglass rv's in particular. safe travels, alf and maryann!

A Happy Canada Day to all you Canukleheads out there.

A restful day for me, then off to a neighbourhood party in a bit, and then to the football game (season opener against Montreal). Lots of fun ahead.

Ever wonder how Canada got its name?

One day some Canadians were talking about how the United States has that cool 3 letter acronym, U.S.A. They agreed they needed a cool three letter acronym too, so they put a bunch of letters in a hat. One guy would draw a letter and another would write down what he said.

He pulled the first letter and said, "C, eh". On to the second letter, "N, eh". And the third, "D, eh".

Happy Canada Day!

I'll celebrate Canada day because I am here in Prince Rupert... and besides if I was ever to become an expatriot I'd settle right here!
Land of first nations culture, halibut, and perfectly beautiful people, eh?
Fireworks tonight.
I will miss it.
Doesn't get dark until 11:00 PM and I have an 8:00 AM ferry to Ketch to catch (I always wanted to find a way to make that pun).
I'll be in Craig AK for July 3rd fireworks. Kwalock a few miles up the road has their fireworks the next day on the 4th. But in truth Craig shoots until 12:30 AM on the 4th and Kwalock begins at 11:30 PM on the 4th. So I'll wave my flag at both of them on the 4th!!!
Met Tammy and Rease and even got to see the Wonderful Ellen Smith in Terrace today. will post more about it in the blog,

Peace
