Canada is also offering a special pass for 2017! Thanks, Canada. I've ordered mine!

The first time I tried to order mine the checkout asked for a credit card number right away. The second time 2 weeks later it didn't. I have wondered since if I didn't wander into a scam site by accident since the whole checkout page looked different.

Make sure you are on the Parks Canada page, not some enterprise that is using the pass offer to their advantage.
I have my pass and did not give a Visa number.

It is open to the world! Everyone is welcome. I sure wish the US would offer Canadians the Geezer Pass.

The link. Nothing that I can see to say that isn't open to our Southern neighbours! (Ahem, neighbors.)

Canadian parks pass

I had ordered a pass a week or two ago, but when the comment was made that they were available only to Canadians, I emailed the parks service with the question and got the following reply:

Hello/Bonjour,

Thank you for contacting Parks Canada.

The free 2017 Discovery Pass is not limited to Canadian citizens and can be shipped worldwide.

We look forward to welcoming all visitors to experience the best of Canada’s natural and cultural heritage in 2017.
With regards,
Marc-André

There's no name or address attached to the pass. One pass is good for the occupants of one vehicle. Canadian, American, Martian, etc.

It'll be a crazy busy year. Some parks opened for summer bookings last week. More this week. Plan ahead!!

I always have a pass. When I bought a new one in August it was good for two year but I'll likely avoid the National Parks during the summer this year.

Sounds like a perfect opportunity for a North American fiberglass get together if I ever heard of one!! Might be a wee bit of a challenge to book a place big enough at this point though.

Looks like the Americans get something free again from Canada

hich is a lot more than they give to us in their parks. I wrote them and they said no way!
I thought as I was a Senior not working anymore on a limited pension they would be okay with it! Oh well life goes on.

Well we just received ours today so it does appear that your southern neighbors are invited to the party as well.
Btw before anyone corrects me yes, I do know that You do cross Canada if you head south from Detroit

I ordered one in December, but had not heard anything or received the pass. I ordered one again a week ago, and yesterday received a confirmation for that order and statement that the pass would be on it's way soon. So I guess the first order got missed somehow. Not sure when I'll get to head north, but surely will some time this summer/fall.

Thanks Canada!

Don't forget you don't need to pre-order the pass. Like every year you can just pick one up at the gates.
