Canadian Rockies

It's been seven years since we've been there and it's time again. Our Egg Camper will be going with us. Leaving August 7. Does anyone have any advice for us even though we've been there 7-8 times? Also are there any egg gatherings near there? We've had our Egg Camper only since spring but have used it three times so far. Thanks. and I very much enjoy this forum.

Just goes to show that it just MIGHT be a good idea to proofread before posting. Although I've never had that before. Sent some emails earlier today without that stuff. There is none of that stuff in this as I'm typing it.

There's some code missing in the link, looks like a beginning bracket. A moderator can fix it.

Bob I can't be much help on the trip as we haven't been to Canada since about 1990 ish, but as relates to gatherings if you look under the heading of rallies/gatherings Carol has provided an excellent map of gatherings all over, including Canada. Lee

We just got back from a week in the Crow's Nest Pass area. Took several trips down stream from Lundbreck Falls in inflatables. Our grandkids LOVED doing that. Also walked the trail at the Frank Slide where the mountain slid down to bury a mining town. It was easy to take a day trip to Waterton Lakes National Park too - where we saw a grizzly, a black bear, some bison and got photos of those fascinating little birds called dippers. The scenery in that whole area is awe inspiring (to me anyway!.)

Question

Before you get into the Rockies, have you been to Head-Smashed-In Buffalo Jump Interpretive Centre, Alberta?

I visited Head Smashed In many years ago. My grandkids went there with their school so we gave it a miss this time. I think it would be more interesting for kids if they participated in a special 'kid friendly' programme - the exhibits have lots of labels to read!

Fort Maclead is interesting. My grandkids claim the Very Best Thing in that area is the Alberta Raptor Centre. They totally loved spending a day there - watching the birds, holding the birds, hearing volunteers talk about the rescues that have been successfully done. The blind golden eagle really fascinated them.

Bob, I hope you are having a fun, safe trip. Give us a report when you can... with pictures, hopefully!
