Invite them in and drink it with them! Oh wait, better make it a keg, so there will be enough for them, too!

I remember seeing someone with a plate full of french fries smothered in gravy, that's just not right.

You should also FEAR the Canadian symbol of the sovereignty the beaver! Those little guys are not so little fellows can bite!
Canada's head monarch The Queen should be feared. She has a pack of corgi's that will rip you to threads should you insult her or any of the countries that she reigns over.
One should fear not being able to communicate with a vast number of Canadian's even if you happen to be fluent in English or French.
Fear being expected to go for sushi or dim sum for lunch fairly frequently.
Fear dog sled teams. The average dog sled team can kill and devour a grown human in less than three minutes.
Fear saying anything negative about the Canadian health care system. Any visitor who suggest its not a good system should expect to be asked to leave, have your face rubbed into the nearest snow bank or once its confirmed you did buy travel health insurance you may be hit on the head with a hockey stick.
American's should fear learning while in Canada how cool and cheap a place Cuba is to vacation and can expect to go home mad as hell that they cant join their new Canadian friends on their next winter vacation
Fear learning that having an Inuit carving by his bedside has proven to be good enough personal protect for Canada's Prime Minster so the rest of the country figures its good enough for them. Again visitors publicly expressing a different opinion should fear being asked to leave or being beaten by a hockey stick or have their face rubbed hard into the nearest snow bank or being fed to the sled dogs or a really big beaver!

Are there Protective Vaccines available for Americans traveling to Canada?
Other than being tough/bitter and thus inedible to dogs/carnivores in general, I have no other immunities to the threats so far described....

Let's get on a serious topic.
How the heck can you guys call that "BACON"? I mean come on, it's round, it doesn't sizzle, it tastes nothing like bacon.

Go ahead, but imaginary health care can be less than effective, and
capitulation has already obviated any anxiety!
I still remember freedom and responsibility, but they are fast becoming nothing more than "tales of yore" for old men to tell their incredulous grandchildren!

According to my research, the only people that call it "Canadian Bacon" are U.S. Americans .
In Canada there is only "bacon", and, surprisingly, it's almost all meat!
The food-like substance we call "bacon" down here is known in Canada as "fat".

Last time I was up north I saw ketchup potato chips. If that don't make you mistrust them then nothing will.

RE: "Poutine"
Are foreigners required to eat this...."food", or is there a "my Mother won't let me" exemption?
Mom raised me never to eat anything that begins with the word "poo"- no matter how fancy it's spelled.

OK, you gotta be kidding, you don't have ketchup potato chips south of the border? That's it, my wife will never agree to trip south now.

Hey, its french. I was dubious at first too. But, you put gravy on your mashed potatoes don't you? The cheese curds are more difficult to explain. It's one of those things you have to try to decide.
It not like it's haggis.

Don't you have lumberjacks anymore?
