Car accident

I cancelled my reservations for the Kathio gathering.

I was stopped at a red light yesterday afternoon and someone not paying attention hit me in the back doing about 45 mph. He admitted he was distracted and at fault. I'm impressed that my trailblazer only has a smashed bumper and one tail light. His car is totally smashed. I'm so thankful that we both walked away from it okay. My daughter took me into the hospital to get checked out.
I'm really stiff and sore today, and just don't have the time or energy to get everything put together. I was really looking forward to meeting everyone.
I hope you all have a great weekend, the weather should be great. Now the fun starts. I need to see my insurance company, file paper work and get estimates.

That's a bummer. At least or maybe at its best, you didn't get hurt.

And, see a doctor to ensure you have a record for potential medical claims.

Delayed stiffness and soreness is common after such an accident. Glad you are fundamentally ok, but please be proactive about the after-effects and see a doctor or chiropractor. The other guy's insurance should pay for it, after all, and sometimes people end up needing some physical therapy or adjustments despite feeling ok immediately afterward.

I'm so sorry about your getting crashed into, and that I won't get to meet you this weekend. But I'm glad you're not badly hurt! Rest and sleep.

So happy it wasn't worse and that everyone was able to walk away. You might still have some rough days ahead. Heal, get well. There will be other rallies. Until then, know that we are thinking of you and wishing you the best (with both the health care professionals and your insurance adjusters!)....
