My hemi pickup is killin me around town 12mpg but on the highway not towing and very easy on the throttle i get 20.5 mpg and about 16.5 gal towing....
Here's my solution....5 days ago i bought a 49cc scooter and it gets about 100mpg. i drove it for two days and went everywhere with it and stopped to refill the tanks and it took all of $2.32.
I was smilin all the way home (good way to get bugs on your teeth)LOL.kinda wish i went for the 150cc so i could get above 40mph.

I agree with you. If we had reasonable weather up here all year round i would consider same thing. Actually i looked into it a little bit. I am lucky that my wife and i have a Toyoto Echo Hatchback which gets excellent mileage. I only use truck on highway or when towing. My company supplies me with a vehical and gas so that side of the equation is looked after.

I did a double take when i seen those prices for gasoline/diesel out your way.... It probably won't be long before we see that here in pennsylvania....about four months out of the year i will park the scooter for winter but comes march 15 it will be up and running again. We used to live in Arizona and they use them all year out there.....the way fuel is going it would probably be cheaper to buy a house out there and leave the scooter in the garage LOL (only kidding...I Hope)

I have noticed a lot more motorcycles and scooters on the roads this year. Also there are a lot more BIG boats and BIG trailers and motorhomes sitting in driveways with forsale signs on them. The small FG units are getting harder to find though.
Gas here today........$1.34 litre.
That,s $5.07 a US
