I use a check list for packing the trailer for a trip, but it is so specific to my needs & trailer (it lists items and which cabinet/storage area they go in) that I doubt it would be of any use to others.

Since I do long, multi month trips, the list serves two purposes - first to make sure I pack what I need, and second, to find where things are when I finally need them after a couple of months on the road.

On Edit, if nothing else, here is the list I used to pack for my last 6 month trip. I keep it as a Word document & cross out items as I pack. When done, I print another copy & keep it in the trailer.

These are fairly general, and you will have to modify them to suit your needs, but I gather you are looking for a place to start.


This is a list I use. It is a work in progress, but since I keep it on my computer, I can delete or add items as I see fit. Once again you can use it a guide for making your own list.

The locations are specific to our needs. Seat lockers and upper cabinets are numbered, mentally, clockwise, 1 to 6. Under seat storage is in boxes, KB, Kitchen Box. MB, Miscellaneous Box, etc. Boxes are placarded as to contents. A place for everything and everything in it's place.

You get the idea. Have fun.

Good question: I was thinking of a checklist for preparing the RV for travel. Make sure the cabinets are secure, chocks are removed, etc.
