Trailer: 13 ft Scamp Deluxe

I caught a brief note about a new trailer made in China in Trailer Life magazine. It's the "iCamp Elite".
Just under 15' long and 2400 pounds unloaded. Looks like a cross between a teardrop and a Casita. Base $15,400.
I won't try to provide any more information, I'll leave it to you guys to do a search (Google or some other).
I Especially suggest you look at the site that ask the question "Would you buy one?".

Would I buy one, no way.
It looks like it fits between a T@B and a T@DA.
It's a very expensive, heavy weight 15' trailer.

I actually almost did buy one. The McMansion came along a few days before I put in the order.
It is a very nice rig, the fit and finsih were outstanding and the bathroom was way better than any I have seen in an egg style.
Yes, I was not real disappointed I didn't get to spend all that money. It is spendy for it's size. But it is very well made, Airstream quality and feel.

I prefer this one over the T@B.

The bathroom configuration looks A-1, but we don't think you can beat the double-dinette system that allows a permanent bed. For us, anyway.
cheers

Gina, I think that the extra cost must have been for the "refrigeratory". I think that's a rather exclusive option. Most of us merely have "refrigerators".

well, I was planning on traveling with priests from the rectory to purgatory.
Then.. I realized I am already there.

I think the iCamps are cute little trailers. I like the curves inside and out. It's a nice look.
Wouldn't work for me and I wouldn't like the constant bed-up, bed-down stuff - but they're still very attractive.

I am understandably sceptical. I would wait to hear from someone who has owned one for a year to comment on its quality, fit and finish, durability etc. Until then, I would say no. It also worries me to think that yet another industry is being undermined by overseas competition.

I guess if "Thomas the Trains" and Mattel toys manufactured in China are being recalled for lead-based paint, one would have to assume this may use questionable materials/paints as well.

When I looked at one last year I saw one thing that really impressed me, When I looked in the bathroom I noticed that the shower curtain would rap around in front of the commode and didn't ride on a bent piece of PVC. The rod was a bent piece of "C" rail with the opening on the inside of the bend and that curtain just glided around that rod just as smooth as can be. I know, I know, it don't take much to turn me on, but, Viola, I wouldn't have to be wiping down a wet toity after a shower any more.
