I live in Central California and am going to Denver on Monday to pick up Scotts 13' Scamp.
I am retired so time is not an issue.
I can take I-25 south and then take I-40 back to California or go back I-70 and through Las Vegas again.
Secondary roads are no problems, so does anyone have any suggestions on sights not to be misssed. I enjoy bondocking so I don't need hookups.
I know this is short notice, but any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
John

It might be too late in the season and not really on the way, but I love the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. It's reachable from St. George Utah. Closes around now, though, so it may be too late.

This makes # 6.
I really liked the Trillium that I bought a couple of months ago and was not intending to sell it.
The person who bought it was driving by and stopped in to look at it. He asked what I wanted for it. I asked him what he thought it was worth. His answer surprised me, very reasonable, so I added a few bucks more thinking he would think I was crazy and leave. He said OK, I am going to the bank and will be back in 20 minutes with the cash. He was back in 30 minutes.
I am tired of working on trailers. This is it! No more! Unless I find a 13 with a front bath that I can afford. The grandkids can sleep in a tent or the back of the truck.
I have spent more time cleaning and refurbishing trailers than I have camping this year.
I still have to finish the Navy surplus derilict Scamp that I bought.
John

John, you deserve a nice soak in a wonderful hot spring pool. Take I-70 and stop in Glenwood Springs(Worlds largest hot spring pool). Plenty of places to overnite. Maybe a massage at the caves while there.

Don't forget to get your Enstrom's Toffee on the way through Grand Junction at their factory.

Maybe a quick jog down to Moab and Arches national park and then across to Bryce and Zion where once again you can soak in a hot springs resort right on the edge of St George. Bubbling hot mud soakin in the Virgin River as well.

I'll let someone else take it from St George. Have a great trip.

I appreciate the info. I think I will head back on I-70 and check out the hot springs, drop down to Moab and points south into Arizona and see some Cliff Dwellings.

I wish you hadn't told me about Enstroms. At my annual physical a few weeks ago the Doc told me to lose 10-15 pounds. All belly!
I love Toffee and all things fattening. A diet is hell.
Thanks Greg,
John

If time were no object, I would consider going from Denver up to Rocky Mountain National Park, driving through the park over Trail Ridge Road, and then back to I-70 from the western side. If you've never driven the road, it is a sight not to be missed.

I just checked the park website, however, and it said Trail Ridge is "temporarily closed" so it may not be open when you are traveling back that direction. You might be able to call and check for up-to-date information before you leave Denver.
