Grape's Instruction manual PDF states it draws 45 watts on DC, which works out to a nominal 3.75 amps @ 12V, although another part of the PDF states it requires a 120 watt DC outlet.

From their description: "The Grape Solar Glacier 5.0 is a solar compatible, 12V DC or 120V AC powered, refrigerator/freezer for disaster preparedness or vehicle based applications.

The Glacier 5.0 has a high efficiency DC compressor for reliable, worry-free performance when coupled with a Grape Solar 12V PV solar kit. With a separate freezer compartment, that cools down to 5 degrees F (-10 degrees C), and crisper compartment, you can store all of your perishables in ideal conditions.

Dimensions: Depth 23.25" x Height 41.5" x Width 20.25" Weight: 89.0 lb"

Costco's price is ~$100 less then the manufactures price.
Refrigerators

It should be noted that Grape Solar also have 3.7 ft³ model for $689.99. The power consumption is 15W more. Ironic.
Model: DC-110
Efficient volume:110L
Input power °C 60W
Temperature of freezing:-12°C
Temperature of refrigerating:0 ~10°C
Dimension(WxDxHmm): 473*498*815 (Width 18.5" × Depth 21" × Height 32.1")

After a bit of "discussion" on this refrigerator at the Escape forum, some points worth considering:

1. Unknown Chinese compressor (not a Danfoss) so there may be questions about the quality.
2. No latch on the door.
3. The need for 6" open space around the freezer.
4. The compressor reaches temperatures of 160°F -195°F while running.

Again, this may be a great product, but there are some limitations to consider.

One thing to remember, one of the reasons Costco is so successful is because it refuses to anything but the best.
