That's pretty heavy for a trailer-based tent. Some are light enough to be pulled behind motorcycles. Although I can see the attraction- in some locations things like getting off the ground (away from snakes, etc, or water) would be pretty important. More bed space than a 13 foot trailer, lighter and cheaper than a tent trailer.
Essentially a tent on a utility trailer for $2000. My utility trailer is a bit larger and more solid and cost me $1100. That tent in the Costco picture does not look like it is worth $900.

That was my impression as well. The trailer is modified to fold out over the wheels and the tent is modified to fit in the floor well of the trailer. The whole thing has been thought out. All are worth something?? I'm not sure you couldn't achieve the same end by buying a longer trailer and a cabin tent and mounting it perpendicular to the direction of travel. In the end it's still a tent.
The Costco thing looks like a good idea but also seems like it'd be pretty easy to replicate. If it were me, I'd go buy the tent, then go buy the trailer (probably used) and voila! I'm not that concerned with being off the ground unless I have a heater, a stove, a bathroom, and a mattress. Just kidding. Sort of.
