I'm likely going to leave the frame of the trailer on with the exception of the tongue. Then I will likely make a sub frame that adapts the truck frame to the trailer frame using the trailer axles as mounting points to allow it to move independently of the truck frame.

First I have to find a trailer...

Here are some shots of my setup. I used a subframe between the truck frame and Casita. The front of the Casita is mounted on airbags from the cab of a Freightliner. The rear is a more solid mount. There is no order to the pictures, so unforunately you'll have to hunt a bit.
