Custom made Trillium?

I recently purchased this 1978 Trillium 4500 and it has an extra skylight in it, behind the normal one, as you can see in the photos. I have searched all over the internet for one like it but I can't seem to find one. The skylight appears very much made in the factory since the trailer has the factory paint still on it and it is on this additional part in the same paint and the workmanship is of high quality. The guy I purchased it from said that the guy he got it from said that he purchased it from the guy "who made the trailers.." Ok, I am not sure I believe that but none the less, I have a 4500 that is different from the ones I have seen. I like it because the inside is taller than the rest of the trailer and it allows me (6'2") to stand upright at the stove. Was this a factory option? I am not sure. Can anyone help?

If your trailer is painted, it didn't come from that factory that way. Molded fiberglass trailers come out of the mold with a gelcoat finish. If you think yours came from the factory differently that all the rest, perhaps you should get in touch with Tom Young. He was part of the original manufacturing: Just be really patient if you contact Tom, he doesn't answer e-mails very fast.

Sorry, I will restate by saying that the coating on the exterior of the trailer is what came from the factory.....

Trillium 4500 skylight

From what I see in the pictures could be the fiberglass saddle that was installed at the Markham factory to support the air conditioner option. I seen one when my wife and I visited the factory in the 70's when we bought our first Trillium. The fact that a hole is already there may indicate that it once had air on it but was removed and a skylight installed instead.
But Tom Young would definitely be the one to talk to as Donna suggested.
By the way it was Tom that convinced us to go with Trillium when we purchased our first trailer 13ft (1300). Since then we have had the 15ft (4500) and the 18ft (5500). All have been excellent products.
