Andy, I think that might actually be an entire forum on it's own!

Cool Cost of life and redundancy

$100,000,000? If we save only one life, it's worth it!

BTW: Every system and component necessary for flight on an airplane is redundant. I wonder why?

Back to the generators, a wet generator can cause you some health problems also.

Just send me $10,000,000 cash and let me protect myself from the horrors of carbon monoxide...
One life saved at only 10% of the cost!

Now I ain't calling you a liar - I'm just saying I don't believe you.
I think you are going to spend quite a bit of that $10,000,000 cash money on things that will shorten your life quite considerably and so your promise to save one life may not be entirely true.....

Send a message via Yahoo to Darwin Maring
If he drinks all the beer, he may save mine.

You digress, the $100,000,000 was "worth it" while only addressing carbon monoxide warning devices. The life saved there would most likely have more peccadillos than I, which are not addressed by the spending.
As I stated earlier.... "Legal and available is just not enough?"
According to the extant logic, the money in each case was only to address the one issue and as long as I don't die from CO poisoning I will have fullfilled the premise.
Of course My point was only to show the facetiousness of the premise while avoiding the censure, which would have certainly been brought on by a better argument. 'nuff sed!

The only way we'll have CO in our house is if my wife lights a candle (assuming that it doesn't set the house on fire but that's another issue). Our house is 100% electric including geothermal heating and cooling. Of course we could probably have an electrical fire.
