Day Finally Here........

Day Finally Here..........

Well, sort of.
Planned date was first of June, but looks like events are falling together so nicely that we are getting our trailer two months early. I've [unpacked] the tow in preparation. Well.................had all the space filled up. And didn't need half (well, maybe 3/4) of the stuff I packed. Been packing and re-packing, and finally had to unpack......LOL.

Guess I sound like most newbies.

You should have seen my first deer hunting trip!

Heading back to Snoozyville,
but before we do, I've had to put stuff back in the truck..........lol.

Wives and daughters think they need clothes for some reason.

Safe travels! It's an exciting time for you. You'll make a ton of memories from this point on. Be sure to document your travels and excursions. The time may come when you can no longer go... when that time comes... dig out the book and relive the experiences.

Picked up our Snoozy yesterday.
Thought I forgot my camera. Even though there was nothing to take pictures of as it was a down pour all the way from Oklahoma to South Carolina. Checked the weather and it looked like it was going to be worse on the return trip. So, late last night we pulled in to our son's business in Odessa, Fl area. Our first night was spent in the Snoozy last night locked in his warehouse where he has his business. All the parks we checked were booked. But this way the Snoozy with us inside is under roof..............LOL And it's free.

Oh, and found my camera as we unpacked stuff from the truck and transferred them to the Snoozy. Haven't taken any pictures yet, but will have to wait until we get back home to post them.

Last night felt like a good stay in a motel room but a lot better.
I usually sleep 3 or 4 hours, but didn't get up until 9:30 this morning.
It was in the 40's on the trip, but in the 70's down here in Florida.
Had to run the air conditioner which made it nice. Even in a warehouse. lol.

I will report back next week. Have a great week end everyone.

We're back home now.
We spent three nights at the son's location. [Odessa, FL area]
We left there Sunday. We spent Sunday night in a WalMart parking lot.
The generator vibrated too much so we shut it down and used the Fantastic fan.
With the window open it got really cool. I didn't stop until we were out of Florida,so was very pleasant with the fan running. We drove until we made it to Petit Jean State Park, Morrilton, Arkansas. Spent two nights there. Got there about dark the first night. Pretty much layed around in the Snoozy the next day. The gnats were bad the first night. It was windy the next day so was pleasant.

Guess I was exhausted from all that driving. I was in no shape to do any hiking and the Camp sights were mostly two hours hikes. Weather was forecast as bad so we left about 8 am this morning. Got home about 1 pm. Made the right decision. Arkansas was having tornadoes. It's been raining off and on here. I unloaded the truck and camper in between rains. Man, was I carrying things we would never use.........lol. Next trip will be more streamline.

I haven't unloaded the camera yet, so what few pics I got will be coming a bit later.

Here was the first picture I was able to take.
There was a break in the weather when we crossed from South Carolina into Georgia on our way to Florida. We stopped at a Chick-Fil-A to eat and snapped a couple of photos.

This is a closer shot of our daughter Trisha at same location.

Glad you made it home safely. I'm betting some of the exhaustion was burned off adrenalain from all the excitement.

Thanks for posting the pictures!

Those are really nice looking campers. We finally got to see one last month in Camden, AL where Bama joined the egg rally.

I was bouncing from Casita, to Scamp, to Oliver (found out they went out of business but may have restarted?), to Taylor, etc. etc. There are so many nice trailers out there once you get the fiberglass bug. Then Park Liner came on the scene. I was sold on it as I was looking for sleeping area and they had the bunk bed set up as did others. Then I heard about Lil Snoozy, probably on this site.

There it was. A factory product like I was trying to put together on paper.
I knew I had found the one that would fit my ideals. So far, so good.

Then I found that Bama had one and was only a couple hours from me.
I e-mailed him and he invited me to see his at the River Rally last year.
So his was the first I had ever seen also. I got the optional rear bumper same as he has.

I was almost ready to find a super nice tear drop, but the Snoozy had what I want and all inside and room to stand up in it. And the same price range as the top of the line tear drop.

And after a while on this site, I knew FiberGlass was the type for me.
I am now a prejudice bigot. lol.

Carl, I like that new camper....have fun in it. Come to Missouri after tornado season. Glad you decided to high-tail it out of Arkansas prior to this Waldo thing blasting thru our southern mid-western states, southern plains states. This is the time of the year to keep "the eye on the sky".

Petit Jean is one of my favorite parks. Well worth a return trip when you have some spare time. Was wet and foggy for a week last time I was there, still had a great time.

Will do Bama. I just finished stripping the bedding and emptying the trailer.
Wife doing the laundry while I set it up in the back yard. I took several pics after I set it up. Will post them when I unload my camera and get them transferred. And will post more on the Snoozy Club site as well.
