Ron,

Looking good. You are gonna love it. Thank me for the new faucet style. We sourced a Delta bar sink faucet and Robert liked so well they changed. We also had a dish washing soap dispenser built in if you want to think about that.

One note. Be sure to check out the fridge before you leave Hohenwald. Ours had a bad relay from Dometic and would not shut off. It took two trips to Camping World for the warranty work because they had to order the part. It is a good idea to stick in the area for some shakedown. Oliver is very good, but no one is perfect.

I will be heading to the factory in March to have the solar option added. 320 Watts will give me plenty of current, even on less than perfect days.

I was of that same opinion while ours was being built because I was afraid they would be easily broken, but after seeing and using them I really prefer them this way. If you wanted to, they could easily be reversed, you would only have to add the mechanism to hold them up. One of the reasons I didn't press to have mine built that way was because I could not locate a suitable gas strut and it would have required 2 per door.

Thanks!

I was very glad to see the high rise faucet. So much more practical. Don't know why there is no sprayer. A lot of RV's these days have omitted that feature for some unknown reason.

Good advice on the fridge. Plan on a thorough shake down for sure.

My two cents on the cabinet doors is that I have had both systems. Swing up in the Casita and now swing down in the Oliver. I much prefer the Oliver method. One thing I have learned about this company is that they do things on purpose, after much research. There are too many small features that you just would not notice unless you had prior experience. And they are always looking for ways to make improvement. There is only one feature I miss from the Casita...an outside switch for the porch light. If you forget to leave the courtesy lights on it can be pretty dark coming in from an outing and a light switch outside would be great.

Ok...I give up...what's with the green light shining on the front corner??

Ron... I know yer excited and I would be as well! Especially knowing I wouldnt have to drive but 30 miles (instead of 1232!!) to pick it up . Beautiful machine- including just the way it looks and it IS sharp!

Cabinet doors on my Scamp's rear cabinets swing up. I'd prefer for them to swing down but it's no big deal either way. I dont have springs or struts on them and at this time dont really need them. You will just have to make sure the Oliver cabinet doors are latched where they wont come open.

All the other cabinets in my Scamp open from the side. I like that best of all personally. Only with the closet have I had a problem with it coming open. That's another area that Scamp should put a heavier-duty latch on there instead of the 15 cent junk they use.

Darral I believe those are industrial sodium vapor lights which do have a green spike.

The stainless steel latches for these doors are not likely to jog loose given their mechanical structure. I believe there are some closeup shots of these on the Oliver website if you want to see how they work. They are heavy duty. Regarding doors opening sideways, we had that on our T@b and found they got in the way big time more often than not.

Hope this helps

Yes, they are the lights. Robert was good enough to climb up on a scaffold and take the picture for me.

I was hoping one of you would ask why I ordered a green trailer!

The door latches are the exact same stainless ones I have on my boat. Should last a lifetime.

Ron. Looking good. Did Oliver customize the sleeping area for you. It appears as if you have only one bed with a sofa on the Port side. Nice if you are solo.

Yep. I'm using this trailer as my lodgings at jobsites. I only need the one bed, so I got the upgraded mattress for the one side. The other has been fashioned into a sofa of sorts, but could still be slept on if I had a guest.

Nice thing about Oliver, is if later I want the other mattress, or the whole thing converted to a king, or to revert to the dinnette arrangement, they can retrofit it for me, as all these parts are interchangeable.
