I have missed them for a couple of days. Eggs yet? We drove past the nest a couple of weeks ago. It is in the corner of two backyards. Can you believe that? How would you like the noise they make in your backyard?

I don't need no stinking eagles, I have a humming bird nest with two babies right outside my kitchen window!

We swung by with the kids and watched them last weekend. Pulled up the webcam on the laptop to see what was going on in the nest, while we watched from under the nest! There's about a 5 minute delay, the kids got a kick out watching them fly out and back in, before seeing it online. Simple pleasures...

We have a hb feeder just outside our living room window and they come and go from there. I love watching them. Don't know where their nest is though. You are lucky to have a nest to watch!

We were at the nest a couple of weeks ago but no sign of the birds at the time. Kevin's home town is Decorah. We were over visiting his parents.

The hummers are delightful! The two babies hatched on Wen. and Thurs. They are now cover in brown downy fuzz. While mom was off the nest we went and took a peek. She has been very industrious feeding them. She has scolded my husband at the window for pointing that "big" camera at the nest. She chatters and buzzes right at the glass. So he puts the camera down. It's been very fun.

This is the second hummer nest we have had, two summer ago there was one out in the front yard tree. We wonder if it is the same bird?

Lizbeth:

Put up a streaming camera. I have followed two hummingbird families off and on, as well as the Decorah eagles. Here is one: Hummingbird Nest Cam, Ustream.TV: Phoebe is a Channel Island Allen (S.s. sedentarius) hummingbird in Orange County, California. She has been laying 4 to 5 ... and this is the other: WORLD OF HUMMINGBIRDS! (Emma's Nest) on USTREAM: This cam is located 3 miles from downtown Laguna Beach, in Southern California, USA and about 12 miles fro....

The actual Decorah team name is the Vikings. Hubbie's hometown. Heavily Norwegian area, although hubby is Danish, albeit surname sounds Norwegian.

Cindy those are neat! If she sticks around for another clutch I might be able to put up a cam, right now we are hot in the middle of remodeling the room the window is in. Both of those cams are in my general area and I am glad to see there are other hatchlings in the nests. I thought she was a bit early but I guess not!

Saw the new baby twice today, first in B & W and then in color as Mom moved. I wish they would feed it before I have to leave.

If you have not tuned into the Decorah eagles (Decorah Eagles, Ustream.TV: Email addresses for both Moderated Chat and Social Stream to provide feedback or to contact RRP. moderatedchat@raptorresource.o...) yet, you should. This bunch is so much more active than last year, a couple of little stinkers in the mix. The oldest is only a week old and is wandering all over the nest already. They are a riot to watch and to read the comments.

More like voyeurs, given the subject matter of the cameras
