Desert Wildflowers

I think we may be able to take one more trip out to the desert before it gets too warm. Has anyone visited Anza-Borrego State Park (California) lately? If so, what's the status on the wildflowers? We're thinking of going to the Bow Willow area.

Over on the lightweight camper forum there is a very recent trip report from a couple of guys who just returned. (Last weekend.) Lots of pictures-but none, I think, of wildflowers.

We just got back on Tuesday. We were at Clark Dry Lake. Nothing at that time.

I went through there last week after Quartzite and there were no flowers as yet. The creosote brushes were budding up. Lots of greenry on the ground though. It looked nice.

We got a good dose of rain today (still raining) here in San Diego. There's a good chance that the desert will also get some of it, which should help bring out the flowers next week.
