We encounted very strong winds and dust 30 miles or so east of Quartzite, then good steady rain, but dry by time we got to Q'zite. Wind started to blow as we got near Indio and continued rest of the way with lot of dust in air in places. Very windy and dusty by the Palm Springs Area. Just breezy and coool in the LA area.

It was so dusty by the Zip Station, we did not stop to get gas, then it was raining cats and dogs for several miles. Every thing cooled down fast as well.

Hope all of you guys camping out there didn't get tooo much of it. We were in our car today. Not camping now.

JUST SAW ON NEWS, THEY HAD A VERY SEVERE PILE UP ON I-10 BY CASA GRANDE FROM THE SAME STORM WHEN IT WENT THROUGH THERE. We went by there much earlier in the morning. Some deaths happened there.

no dust, just a cloud burst around lunch time with thunder and lightning. All clear up now with a light breeze.
