I'm up for it! That's on my must-do list for rockhounding sights. A combination with the quartz diggings at Mt. Ida ( Mount Ida, Arkansas - Quartz Crystal Info ) would be Teh Bomb!

Man, I would love to go there...I'm a bit of a rockhound myself and have often thought what fun that would be. But Arkansas is a long way from here...
Have fun, whoever goes!

Breaking news-breaking news-breaking news
Quote:
This just in:
(AP/UPI Newswire)Dateline: Port Hadlock, Jefferson County, Washington State:
It's being reported that approximately 37 1/2 acres of Arkansas has mysteriously appeared in the backyard of Gregg and Francesca Knowles' country estate in the fashionable enclave of Port Hadlock, Washington.
Though unconfirmed, it's reported that the same Government Contractor that recently removed the Rocky Mountains realized upon completion of that job that, in the words of a company spokesman "If we keep on movin' dirt, we'll keep on gettin' paid. This part of Arkansas was just sitting there, so...what the hey, right?"
Mrs. Knowles, a petite former brunette fashionably attired in Carhartt Bibs and Army Boots, graciously consented to take time from her many philanthropies in order to issue the following statement to the throngs of reporters descending en masse to witness the phenomenon:
F.Knowles: "Anybody that so much as looks like they're poking around in the dirt is dead meat."
G. Knowles had no comment, as usual.
Meanwhile, at the Arkansas State Capitol of Little Rock, the Governor issued the following statement:

We were there.
Herschel, Connie and I stopped there on our way back from River Valley last year. The camp sites were excellent and new. Connie started having chest pains so we didn't get to dig long and gave our tickets to a young couple who just arrived.
Connie left her real nice flower bed pick and hoe there. Said she got it hung in a large chunk of glass. If you should find it please return the pick, you can have the glass.
I felt so bad for her I swapped an old hippy, camping in a Little Snoozy with a generator up front, out of a diamond he found. Gave him $5.00 and a pint of Thunderbird. It wasn't as big as the Star of India so he nicknamed it Hillary cause it was big on the bottom!
When you get ready to go let us know.
Ray
