I think the initial post was suggesting that people proof read their posts before submitting. It's not improper English that's an issue. It's computer-generated spelling "corrections" that make some posts more difficult to fellow.

I pretty much use the "Advanced Reply" feature all of the time, never "Quick Reply" and use the "Preview Post" before "Submit Reply". I pay attention to the spellchecker red underlining, and investigate what it finds incorrect. I also try to read my post through several times before submitting. I have found that I am often automatically logged out during composition of lengthy posts, and I have to try to salvage text and log back in to complete the submission.

Moderators are tasked with insuring that Thread Titles are spelled correctly to allow the search functions to work as well as possible, and I have corrected some of them. However, text within the posts are left as they were written.

I can state without equivocation that every one of my posts is thoroughly proofread (and immediately corrected) for both grammatical and factual errors.

Sometimes even by me!

I do the factual part... who's checking your grammar?

Just kidding (mostly)...

I didn't catch this malapropism, and it's one of my pet peeves... this just shows (like other examples) that when we read we can tolerate substantial errors and still understand the message correctly, without even consciously noticing the required corrections.

No one here owes me correct grammar or spelling, and I don't expect it; I hope no one expects it of me. The important part is communication, and that's why I'll sometimes point out a better term (or just corrected spelling) for someone to use, allowing them and others to more effectively find information. The intent is entirely constructive. Sometimes I think people would catch some of these themselves, if they looked at what they had written as they would look at someone else's writing.

I assure you it's never my intent to find fault any anyone's writing or what they choose to do with THEIR trailer. We are an international community and I'd much rather have someone who has English as a second language post... than find fault with the words they use. And that goes triple for native English speakers.

Truly, we... just like our trailers... are more alike that different. And to paraphrase Brian, it's easier to find fault in others than to see it in ourselves. BUT...

Encouragement trumps all else!

I try to proofread...but my spelling and stuff( you know that gram word) is not always the best so I almost always include a note that says "feel free to fix it or delete it,want hurt my feelings any" just do what is right for the sight!

Happy Camping

Sometimes when reading bad writing I wanna Burro my head in my hands. Justifying bad spelling Escapes me. Missing capitalization, wrong hyphen-ing, is like U-Hauling my BigFoot to a Boler alley without Oxygen while Lil Snoozy Play Pac's with Oliver in that Scamp's Fiber Stream.

But, many Parkliners Love those Bugs. I must be in a Compact Cloud.

I try to proofread my posts, but I'm using a "smartphone" most of the time I'm on line. It "corrects" other times I'm using my Linux netbook or dang Windows system My grammar is probably bad too due to having used Spanish, German and Arabic languages in my passed. To the point back in 1997 one of my soldiers stopped me and ask me to tell them again in English not German. In Iraq I started answering one of the Iraqi police Captain before my interpreter could interpret what he said to English. From then on they thought I spoke Arabic and would watch what they said arond me.
