Does Scamp 16 side bath have a shower?

Hello! I was just on the Scamp Website looking at their 16 ft model with the side bath and it didnt say if it has a shower. Is this just a privacy room with a toilet or does it indeed have a shower? Does anybody know the dimensions of the side bath? Wondering if there is enough room to stand or if you must sit on the toilet to shower. I can call Scamp but dont want to waste their time since we're not purchasing new.
Still trying to decide between a 13 and 16. Would much prefer the extra room and bath in a 16 but dont want to stress my Sienna with the weight. If there is no shower in the 16 (side bath model) we would probably stick with a 13 ft egg of some type.

Thanks!

Hi Melissa,
I believe you can order exactly what you want on a new Scamp. Give them a call -- they're really nice people!

You can indeed order a shower on the side bath. It is a little less roomy than a front bath but is designed to stand in front of the toilet when showering. You can also get a tiny sink as well.

Hi Melissa,
Since you're buying used, you'll have to ask the seller, as they can be purchased with the side storage room bare, or equipped with the toilet and shower, depending which option was selected. We had contemplated getting the side storage room and kust using it for storage and a porta potty, but you can get a shower option.

Mellisa, I don't think you will stress your Sienna with a 16' Scamp.
I tow my 16' SD Scamp with an 07 Tacoma 4 cyl. and it tows it very well.
I had a 13' for years and now really enjoy the room of the 16.

My 16' sidebath has a shower... if you call it that! I'm only 5'7" and would have a tough time standing to shower. It's a sitter shower as far as I'm concerned. BUT it works just fine, it's not like I'm partying in there. For every inch put into a bathroom, it takes an inch from somewhere else. I'd rather have a bigger bed and more storage space than a bathroom that's only used briefly several times a day. YMMV

I had a little smile on my face when I read the suggestion that one stands for a shower in the side bath - glad to hear Donna I'm not the only one who finds sitting to be the better option! Sitting or not sitting regardless I bless it evertime I boom dock!

You mean being 5 foot tall may finally have an advantage?! LOL. I wouldnt mind sitting for a shower at all. I'd just be happy to have it. We usually use the bath houses but after this summer in the Florida Keys where it was too hot and humid to use them we decided it was time to sell the popup and get something that could stay cool in the heat and humidity and take a shower if necessary. When you finished showering in the bath house it was darn near impossible to get dressed b/c you were already so sweaty and sticky again that your clothes just kept rolling up and sticking to you. Very challenging to adjust undergarments that way for sure! Was almost pointless to shower, lol. It would be nice to have the bath for overnighting too on our way to whevever. Escpecially the 3 day drive from FL to WY to visit family every summer.
I wonder if RV's will start switching over to the tankless systems. Then you have endless hot water. Just have to make sure you dont overfill your grey tank.

Thanks for the input everybody!

We have a 13' deluxe and we have the front full bath which includes a shower, sink and stool. I am 5'10" and can stand in our shower/bath. I should say, however, we bought our Scamp in 2007 so it's been manufactured AFTER the fire and is taller than the older units. Ron

PS--thought I'd add this info in case you decide to go with a 13' unit.
