Does this make us an egger??
Well, we bought our first FG trailer. After much research (a lot of it on this Forum), we bought one we had never heard of previously, a 1979 14' SurfSide.
I guess we are lucky up here in the Vancouver area. There are always 3 or 4 Bolers or Trilliums or Bigfoots for sale. I looked at 3 others before deciding on this one.
Absolutely immaculate. Brand new upholstery, appliances are clean, new foam insulation on the ceiling, outside shell is scrubbed and polished. Even comes with a bottle of wine and 2 glasses. (see photos)
Now we just need to get it home, load it up and hit the road.
Had a tent trailer last 2 years, but got tired of putting it up. Also needed something small and light to tow with our Windstar. Going to try it with 2 adults and 2 kids and see if we stay sane. If not, bigger is better.
See ya' on the trails. Bill:wave

These photos were supplied to us by the seller. We will take more as we go.
This whole trailer thing started for us when we decided to take an extended trip east to Alberta, through the Badlands and up to Edmonton. Didn't want to hotel it or rent a motorhome.
So now we have an investment, something we can build on.

Linda,
Have a look at this page http://buysell.com/results.asp?id=4534&r=9&i=406
Assuming it loads properly, you will see, within the list, 2 Bolers, 3 Bigfoots, 1 Dolphin, 1 Trillium and 1 Surfside (sorry, sold).
Sacramento is not so far from Vancouver that it might be worth setting up some appointments, after getting some photos emailed. We are 120 miles (2.5 hours) north of Seattle, about 6 hours north of Portland. (Hardly the Great White North)

Bill
About a month ago we were at Little Qualicum Falls, for 2 days there was us, a surfside like yours, and some stick built behemoth.
I'd bet your Surfside was the one I saw. Could I be right?

Rick:
Could have been, but would have been previous owner.
I don't imagine there are a lot around.

That's what I meant Bill, the previous owner, it's the only surfisde I have seen around these parts.
If you bought the same one - it's a beauty!
Here's a pic I took of it in mid-April:

I just looked a bit closer at both photos - it's definately the one I saw. :)

I am not too sure. Look at the red circles. There seems to be a difference between the breaks in the stripes, looks like there is a deadbolt of some kind, and there are some attachments along the awning slot.
Colour is also different, but that could be the exposure.
Looks like you got wet that weekend??

Actually I think it only drizzled. We had a beauty spot right next to the river. First 2 nights at Little Qualicum Falls were free (they were just getting organized), next 2 nights were 9 dollars each.
It's great spot - check it out sometime.
I never noticed that deadbolt. The exposure is different I'm sure.

yes, Yes, :cblob YES, your and egg-er now.
I agree Bill. might have been built by the same people on the same day, but not the same traler. Yours looks in a little better shape.
I keep looking at the avatar and thinking *he's pulling my trailer.* I'll have to get use to not being the only yellow and white Surfisde. Looks like mine, uuuhh:conf strike that looks like mine use to look inside, but cleaner.

It is your avatar, just modified. Also need to do a little more work on it, or just use a photo. (The front half of the avatar is from Ford, but don't tell them ;-)

Thats because it takes two years to study ownership alternatives and it's impact on the constitution. before a decision is made to steal or not. hehehe...
