Not trailer related, but there are so many of us with 4 legged campers, I thought this was important enough to post.

Dog Food Recall

My two little ones had these exact symptoms, if only mildly, after switching to the foil pouch Pedigree when I was on the road recently. I don't think the Pedigree is part of this recall, but I tossed it then thinking they got some bad stuff. (They recovered after a couple of days.. they were * close to an emergency room trip)

This, like so many of these boo boos, effects only a small amount of folks (Or pups) mostly in the midwest it appears, but here is a list of the things to watch for:

* sluggishness

* loss of appetite

* jaundice (yellow whites of the eyes, gums, belly)

* severe, persistent vomiting combined with bloody diarrhea

* fever

These are also the symptoms of Parvo, so do not assume pup pup just got bad food. Go to the vet.

Yes, thank you---great information for all.

I saw the report on TV and I still see the face of the woman who lost a young, perfectly healthy Golden to that bad dog food.

You are welcome.

Gotta keep the kids safe. They are our friends, our protectors and often our counselors.

And they don't ask for much in return.

Except the best spot on the couch or bed

Here's the company's www site regarding the recall:

http://www.diamondpetrecall.net/

They've been updating it pretty regularly so it's worth checking periodically. They also seem to be being very upfront about the problem. Good to see them doing the right thing.
