For several reasons we stayed home for Thanksgiving. We decided to attempt to get some of feeling of being out by doing a lot our cooking in Dutch Ovens. Two of daughters along with their boy friends said they would be here about 3:00 pm for dinner. That the time frame.

First on the fire was boneless turkey breasts at 11:00 am.

Next came the dressing at 1:45 pm. Yum that looks good. (hint, it was)

Then to top the stack off baked onion was added. Started at 2:15 pm.

At 2:30 a cheese dip was put in the 5" DO to warm up. It would fit on the stack.

Here they all are stacked up and the 5" off to the side warming up.

Sizes. Bottom 12", middle 10", Top 8"

YUMMY... Dinner is served.

With 6 adults there wasn't a lot of left overs. It was quite a success.

A special thanks to Lori and Mike for some great hints and allowing us to believe this was possible.

That looks wonderful. I guess, I've never thought about a dutch oven tower. I have a lot to learn.

I am (slightly) jealous. Cooking a dutch oven Thanksgiving dinner sounds like more fun than work!

That looks so good!

We made DO chili Friday night on the campfire grill. It worked out great and was fun to make.

Thanks Lori and Mike for getting us started!
