Egg 3 is hatching right now. They zoomed in on the lump that the chick has made in the shell. I hope Mom does a better job with feeding all three. Tome and again I watch Number 2 get nothing.

3rd eagle was born yesterday. Quite the smorgasboard in the nest.

Dad just flew in with road-kill squirrel. I assume it was. It was pretty stiff. Then he fed them from the fresh fish he brought in earlier. Even he did not want that stiff squirrel. That fish was so fresh when he brought it, it was still breathing.

Hard to get work done.

The fish. I think the squirrel was done moving along time ago according to the look on it's face.

It's fun now to watch the almost adult birds hopping and testing out their wings on the above-nest wind currents. It looks like they'll be flying soon!

I've been enjoying the eagles.
If you want to see some African wildlife go to africam.com.
They have 3 24/7 live cameras in diferent areas.

Jim B:

She has at least four in the nest? And high rise accomadations. Cedar Rapids, Ia started Perigran's nesting downtown a few years back. Hopefully if the weather ever gets right I will be able to bike out to the nest and see the young eagles roosting away from the nest.
