actually the only reason I know Michigan did have fracking was I happened to see a news story shortly after the Michigan shake. The story indicated that the powers that be had indicated they were going to look into whether or not it may have been caused by fracking, although the technology to prove it one way or another really is not there yet.

The 4.2 quake was the second strongest. Strongest was 4.6 in 1947. I realize it's practically nothing to Californians but it's kind of a big deal in Michigan.

Its Good news to have quakes in the 3 to 4 range, the pressure is relieved harmlessly. When the slipping force is relieved in the 7 to 8 range, the horizontal acceleration is unsustainable. We leave CA in our FGRV hoping to escape earthquakes for awhile.

Looks like the Guv should declare a disaster zone so some federal money can flow in to fix that damage..... FEMA also has a line item fund for replacement of ruined underwear as well..... LOL

We are in Grand Rapids area, and sadly, though I lived through it I did not feel it. Oh well.

I was at Cabelas in Dundee, Michigan during the "event". I promptly bought something to help jump start Michigan's economy after such a blow.

Actually, didn't know about it until turning on the car radio as I left.

I hope you feel the next one; I wouldn't want you to feel left out.

My wife heard on the radio that OK hasn't had a quake since MI had theirs; before that day we were having little tremors (not that we could feel though) almost every day. Our hats are off to MI for relieving the pressure!

They forgot to mention, at 10.5 on the Richter Scale, Elvis' hips are seen swiveling once again!

Yes we will rebuild and luckily the roads remained unchanged with no additional damaged as shown in this local news photo.
