First I was Eggless, now I'm crateless... I said goodbye today not only to my weather and travel beaten Alumabox Shasta, but my faithful F-150 tow vehicle as well. I placed an ad in the paper yesterday, and by noon today I had a gentleman (and his wife and two small girls) offering me my asking price.
Looks like this year, camping will be back to the flipping down the rear seat in the Blazer routine. At least now I have the funds to finish the house, and start putting away a decent downpayment for a new Egg, hopefully next spring. I probably could have used the proceeds from the sale for a new
Scamp, but, well, I'm really tired of not having a bathroom sink, and having a completed house is more important than having a camper (did I say that?)
Oh well, with each closed door a window opens... Or in the case of my old Shasta, falls out of the frame and shatters onto the pavement:r
