Eggless

First I was Eggless, now I'm crateless... I said goodbye today not only to my weather and travel beaten Alumabox Shasta, but my faithful F-150 tow vehicle as well. I placed an ad in the paper yesterday, and by noon today I had a gentleman (and his wife and two small girls) offering me my asking price.

Looks like this year, camping will be back to the flipping down the rear seat in the Blazer routine. At least now I have the funds to finish the house, and start putting away a decent downpayment for a new Egg, hopefully next spring. I probably could have used the proceeds from the sale for a new Scamp, but, well, I'm really tired of not having a bathroom sink, and having a completed house is more important than having a camper (did I say that?)

Oh well, with each closed door a window opens... Or in the case of my old Shasta, falls out of the frame and shatters onto the pavement:r

There's an epidemic. everyone is doing the trailer trade dance. all for the new and different. I know what you mean on no bathroom. I keep thinking why didn't I just wait and buy one with a bath? :bh But this way (installing it yourself) is fun. (just keep saying that over and over again and it will come true.).

Time works

:) Eric, sounds like you are dealing with priorities. That's always a hard thing to do. Hang in there and remember as Daniel Boone the 6th said ' There's always a way, if you don't mind the way' You'll get what you want if you have patience.

Good luck,

Every time we sold one of our little rigs, I missed it terribly ... but then started looking forward to the next one, full of excitement.

Finish the house ... then get yourself another rig.

Can always tent camp ... that's what Pam and I used to do long ago.

I still carry a little two-man pup tent with us when we travel ... in case ... just in case.

Or, you could get a cute little molded fiberglass travel trailer, park it right next to your house, and use its bathroom!

Then you'd still be able to go camping!!
:jester

Good luck with it!!

:sunny
