Trailer: Trillium 4500
Posts: 143
Ok, I'm now one of you. In June I accompanied my friend Cliff to Backus Minn to pick up
his new 16' Scamp deluxe and help him with the driving. I liked the small fiberglass trailer... A LOT!!! I realized I had several obstacles to overcome: to many hobbies already, Bonnie, my wife, who has never camped before, and that nagging problem
of finances. Problems solved. Put the motorcycle up for sale, borrowed a 13' Scamp
from a friend for Bonnie to try, and busted the egg shaped piggy bank. Now,what to buy?
I believe there is a trailer out there that is right for yor needs. New? the piggy bank wasn't that fat, so used. My requirements after the 13' Scamp experience were tall and
wide enough for my 6'4" 230, my wife is always the 'perfect' size, and lots of windows,
and oh yah, a bed at least 50" wide. After web searching for info, fgrv was a great souce,
I came up with a Trillium 4500. The next thing I know there is one on ebay only 500 miles
away. Fate? Won it on Sunday night, left at 2:00am to pick it up, was home by 10:00pm.
Bonnie thought it looked good in the dark, wasn't as enthused in the morning light.
We had reserved a camp site for a local boat show for the upcoming Thursday, so it
was a 3 day cleaning fest for me. We loaded and left at 9:00pm on Thursday. We had
a wonderful time and have 2 more weekends scheduled for close outings.
This winter I'm planning a complete rebuild so I'll be asking lots of tech
questions in the coming months. Thanks you all for the great community site.
Regards Dave & Bonnie
No pics yet, if you want to see it look at closed ebay item# 200012774852

Dave & Bonnie, let me add our congratulations - and we own a 4500. I'm confident you will love yours.

You might check out our web site below for some ideas for what can be done with that model. Open the Trillium album.

Happy motoring. You are in for a treat!

Thanks for the encouraging words, and I looked over your major overhaul before I
bid on my 4500. Your trailer looks terrif. Bonnie & I stopped at the fabric store on
the way home this evening. She said that was the last time she was letting me come along. Must have been something I said? I have enough choices to make on my own
anyway.

Karl,
PEI and Nova Scotia are on our list of destinations once we whip the old girl into shape,
I'm refering to the Trillium here. Maybe we'll shoot for a time when there's a fiber rally
happenning. Hope to meet someday.
