I bought an electronic level for my GEEK son-in-law and set the 0 at a little off so it would drive him nust. He reset the thing to the right zero and uses it when he levels things because level has to be level.

If you need one of these things you really need a life first.

sceeesh, take something that works perfectly well, made out of a little bit of liquid (beer anyone?) and a tiny "piece" of air...add batteries and charge 50 bucks for it...why didn't I think of that first

ya know, if you don't have a "store bought" level...a bartenders shot glass (the kind that has the line around it notating 1 oz) and some water will display when the toad is perfectly level. Ask me how I know

This is interesting. I seem have heard many of these "anti" arguments a number of years ago. "Why do I need an expensive calculator, my slide rule works just fine?"

I thought the thing was a remote readout, but after glancing at all the derisive and disparaging remarks from the choir I decided to actually read the link.

Sure enough, it sure pays to read the fine print.

I don't really care if I'm level as long as the head of the bed is on the uphill side.

That reminds me, Byron... of the old precision versus accuracy joke... and the jokes about MilSpec...
