When my wife and I decided to get a a travel trailer we were pretty much in the dark as to what to get. One thing we decided was to get something that we could pull with both our Nissan Frontier or our Ford Windstar. After going to the local RV dealers we were pretty discouraged after hearing all the salesmen say oh ya this is about the lightest trailer you will find!
Then on a return trip from Montana we were outside of Butte when this minivan went by in the other lane of the interstate pulling an RV it looked like it said
Scamp on the side of it and I made a comment to my wife, Now that's about what we need. So when I got home I googled
Scamp and low and behold there it was. Well from there I googled
fiberglass Travel trailers and ended up on this site. This site has been and still is real educational as far as learning about these small wonders. Anyway I studied all I could on the internet about both the
Casita and
Scamp then I called there sales people to find out if there were any in the area we could look at, there weren't. Then I stumbled on the Escape site I showed it to my wife she really liked it. I called Reese he gave me his sales pitch and after thinking about it for a couple weeks we decided to get the Escape. One of the reasons was it is only 10 hours from our home here in Idaho. The other reason was we just liked the looks of it and it came with every thing we wanted in a TT. We drove up to Chilliwack in March of 2004 and picked it up and have been happy with it ever since. It was the 17th trailer they built. Since we've got Trailer I still haven't actually been inside of a Scamp But low and behold a Casita did show up in our little trailer park [7 sites] here in town so I went down and visited with the owners and got a tour of their Casita.
