EZE gutters

I installed the strips according to instructions, cleaning three times with alcohol. Two of four strips fell off after one week. I want to re apply with some silicone adhesive. Is this a good idea?

NO!

What was the ambient temperature when you applied the gutter? The glue is pretty aggressive but needs to be warm(ish). Maybe reapply (if the glue is still sticky) and hit with a hairdryer.

I see you're in Florida. I wonder if the humidity caused the failure?

try heating them with a hair dryer as you apply. If that doesn't work and it appears the adhesive is no good you might try reattaching with VHB tape. I've had those gutters on our Uhaul for at least 4 years with no problems. I'm a great fan of Brake Clean so that's probably what I used to clean the surface. CAUTION: Brake Clean can damage some plastics and paint. Or maybe start all over with new gutter

Summer time is when you install, not in the winter.

I have re applied the strips that fell off. I left them in the sun and then hit with a hair dryer just prior to attaching. Time will tell but so far they are staying on.
