Hi: Gilda... A "Get out and camp free" card would make a nice gift.

As long as such serious suggestions are being made, just in case there is someone out there with a desire to make someone very happy this Christmas, I will also list mine,
1. 5th Wheel Bigfoot
2. Diesel Tow Vehicle for above
3. Unlimited use gas card
Sorry, COD deliveries will not be accepted......

I'm getting myself a gift: a French press that uses K-cups or Pods.
MyFrenchPress
I figure I can also use it during power outages with a little propane stove (or using the one in the trailer.)

One of the best gifts last year was the National park pass we got from the kids
Parks Canada - Kiosk - e-Kiosk
What a great idea especially since we live close to a few of them

Bobbie,
Any coffee pot works by boiling water and pouring it thru. We have done this while boondocking. It allows us to carry just one coffee pot.
As I age the best gift would be youth, now that we're retired we have time.

Here's some stuff we've received as gifts over the years:
- new Dometic canopy for the Trillium
- pair of wooden ducks (our mascots!)
- Coleman can cosies to keep that beer cooler longer
- Long-handled forks for use over the fire
Stuff we've picked up that has stood the test of time:
- Little wooden folding table to go beside the door (about $10 at Canadian Tire)
- Polypropolene 5 x 7 rug for outside (about $50 at Wal-Mart)
- Dishpan with dishrack that nests inside ($15-20 at RV dealers)
- Folding collapsible broom (these things can be got at RV stores, they are a little pricey, but they fit in the Trillium's half-height closet) (Ours was $25 - you may be able to find one for less)
- Scissor jacks from TSC ($20 each)
- For Trillum owners with bad backs, check out Z-mats from Foamite - $50 ea - and they come in 'gaucho' size. They fold up and are easier to handle than foam slabs.
Hope this helps with making that list for 'RV Santa'!

The point here is that I use K-cups at home so if I used loose coffee camping I'd have to guess at tiny amounts, and then have the cleanup issue. (Not easy without much room and I'm usually not using the sink even if I wanted to take a chance at grounds going down the drain.) When I've used loose coffee methods I've ended up with stale packages of loose coffee. I want something easy to clean up and that stays fresh.

I'm also planning to make myself a nice lap quilt for use while camping. I got some great camping fabrics and will back it with a nice warm fleece, just right to tuck around me in the recliner while I read (and enjoy my coffee) on a cool morning. I should have it done by next spring as I won't do anything very fancy in terms of piecing.

Some of these ideas are so funny, thanks guys for making me laugh!
Dear Santa,
I'd wish for a little UHaul Hut to Keep the little UHaul Warm and Dry.
I also am extremely respectful of the response for "GOOD HEALTH" very True.

This sounds so good.....I have been looking for some camping related fabric for some projects I wanted to make for myself and as gifts, but have had no luck finding any. Where did you find yours? Do you quilt?
