Fiberglass daily ad
Not that it's a big problem (but it is annoying), why does the ad for "Fiberglass Daily" keep coming up? I'm generally leary of pop up ads. What is it about? Has anyone joined it?

I saw it once and dismissed it (clicked on the X) and never saw it again. I would be curious to know if it can be subscribed in some other way. As I said in an earlier post, something is not working as expected. My firefox is set up to block pop-up windows.

Everytime I log in, it pops up. Knocks me out of the discussion group that I try to go to. I can "X" it out, it goes away, and then I can go to forum site. Can't seem to get rid of it. As I said, annoying.

At our business here, we have installed a Barracuda "Web Filter" and it blocks all types of pop-ups including the one you speak of. It also eliminates the temptation of employees that want to go sneaking around to forbidden sites out of curiosity.

I have never seen it. Using Firefox, with popups blocked.
Come to think of it, I have never seen it when using my tablet, either.

Why log out?
Then you don't have to log in and I guess you'd not be aggravated.

It is annoying. It comes up every time I log in. I'm using Firefox with popups blocked. There's no way that I want to fill my inbox with things that may not interest me. I do have a Yahoo account. Maybe I should just sign up and give it my Yahoo email. I never look at it anyway.

I signed up for it and then a few days later deleted my subscription to it.
It just emails you everyday that there are new discussions, I am in the site every day and know that there are new discussions on the forum page already and follow those links.
I just X out the request box and carry on with my searching of the site.
Hope the moderators of this site read this link and get rid of that STUPID request to join the email list.

As baglo pointed out, you only see it when you log in. If you don't log out, and I never do on any forum, you will not see it when you come back again. If you are logging back in, you are having to enter username and password, and click OK. To close this box is just one more click.
But like I said, I have only seen it twice since it started.
There are some who like the daily newsletter.

I joined it; it still keeps popping up so I joined it again and it told me; "not a valid request", or something like that.
Annoying little bugger!

I hate pop-ups
Surfing the web, there are some sites that are not usable because of pop-ups.
There are so many PUs and each time one appears, it shifts the window and then you have to find where you were in the article you are trying to read. Not one of ITs better ideas.
BTW: It comes up on FGRV every time I come on to the site. Click the X and it goes away. Just another annoyance.
I get a kick out of ads like Nexium who will appear over and over and over. Don't these people know that after seeing the same ad for the 50th time one develops an animosity to the brand they are trying to promote.
