Fiberglass Sighting in Morocco

Just wanted to share with the group that as I was driving from Fez to Marrakech in Morocco last month I looked out the window and saw two possible fiberglass RVs going down the road. Looking at the drivers it's obvious they are Taurus and I have to give them two toes for being brave enough to rent an RV in a foreign country and go driving around all over!

Grace that sounds great!! Rent an RV... never thought of that. I to have backpacked Eastern Europe through Greece and the islands and Crete. Later Egypt and the Sinai. Then middle Africa. Such a rich culture. How were you received there? I just thought it might be out of the question now as an American. Did you just do Morocco or go up into Spain. I was thinking go to Morocco then up into Spain and walk some of the Camino De Santiago. OH...I to want to do Morocco. So glad to hear someone else likes that.
Happy traveling,

Rick W

Photos of the Moroccan Rigs

Here are the RVs in Morocco. Don't know what kind they were. Could not attach these on my smartphone but could on my PC. Don't know why.

Morocco was FAB! People were warm and welcoming. No tension at all. I went with Gate 1 Travel who are my favorite travel group. Casablanca was "OK", but by far Fes and Marrakesh were my favorite. Fes was unbelievable. and Marrakesh perhaps one of the most lovely and clean cities I have ever visited. This was a rooftop bar in Marrakesh. Check out the subsaharan snowcapped mountains in the back ground. So you can be in the desert, and two hours later be skiing. Did not do Spain on this trip though I've been there a long time ago. Would lOVE to do the Camino Santiago.

FiberglassRV is fortunate to have members from all over the world. About 10 years ago, one of our members, Lex&Rita took their BIOD to Morocco. This photo made the home page here... isn't it fabulous?!

Donna,

That is so cool. I remember sights like that and was able to ride camels in Egypt. What a great time. I was surprised by the pictures that Grace put up with the big RV's. Not what I remember of my travels through Africa. If not by foot I had a small Toyota 4x4 and a dirt bike. I was thinking smaller units. I to sleep in low rent rooms, outside and on a Felucca as we sailed up the Nile. I guess that is what traveling is all about and what makes it so pleasurable. Seeing new places and meeting new people. No matter how you get around or your accommodations.

Good travels,

Why would "that part of the world" be dangerous?
