Fiberglass trailers are the best, follow our travels

I have read many post about what trailer to purchase and would I really use it. I have found that the smaller the camper the more you will use it. We have had large and small. We needed larger camper when the kids were home, but today a 1971 Compact Jr fits our needs perfectly. I can pull it easily, fits in the garage and with a Dodge Mini van I am showing an average so far of 21 mpg. You can follow our travel to Florida from Ohio in the following blog, click on the ads they actually pay us. If you want to follow from the beginning you have to click on older blogs at the bottom and work backwards. It posts the newest first. Oh yes, we named the trailer Tweety.

Let me know if you have any questions.
Doug

, I love following others travels. As someone who's still in that dreadful 9-5 work-a-day world, I have to live vicariously. Sigh.

We all have to wish and plan

I just retired and if you look at the first post by going back to the earlier post link at the bottom of the blog you will see that the trip started at the Niagara Falls fiberglass rally. We saved and planned for retirement for a long time. It takes planning, but it can be done.

Hi: CompactJR-Sailor... It takes being retired to go south by heading north then east??? I'll have to follow you on the web for another year, but then I'll come knocking on your door!!!

Nice blog, Where to next? Just got back from the Blue Ridge Parkway last night. The leaves are just starting to change and after this cold snap tonight they should be pretty good next week. There is a fiberglass meet in Cherokee N.C. next weekend.

Our general travels

Hi Eddie
We are actually headed to Punta Gorda Florida, however we may go to the Keys before we go to Punta Gorda. That way we can say we did the whole east coast from Bar Harbor Maine to Key West. We are transplants from Ohio. I looked at the rally in Cherokee, but decided that is too far out of our way. We do plan to do one in winter in Florida. Keep watching a click on the ads.

Hi: CompactJR-Sailor... In Key West we ate at the Raw Oyster bar on the dock. It was down a few narrow alleys off the main street...but I've never seen so many oysters on ice before, or since.
