Finally gave up!

Finally after waiting over 6 months for my promised Parkliner and being completely ignored (not even the courtesy of being humored!) I wrote Parkliner a letter requesting a cancellation of my Parkliner and an immediate refund of my deposit. It took almost 2 months but I finally got my deposit back - Thanks Parkliner. I immediately placed an order for a Casita and what a hell of a difference in customer service it has been! Every email and question were answered within a day or two and my new Casita has been scheduled to be ready for pickup in less than 3 months. I have been receiving followup emails and literature from Casita since placing my order.
Parkliner seems to have a very good product even though there are a few problem areas that need to be resolved according to postings in this forum. but I don't know just what the hell is going there at the factory that causes them to do the dumbest thing that ANY business can make and that is to completely and totally ignore paying customers. Doesn't make any sense whatsoever unless they are deliberately trying to chase customers away

Never ascribe to malice that which is adequately explained by incompetence.

This is a small start-up company that may be too small to employ a dedicated sales force.
Building things has a certain skill set. Selling things has a completely different skill set. I know that having the former does not automatically provide the latter. Sometimes I think we expect a LOT from someone in business who may be in a new experience.
I would use a different ending to the above quote, maybe the word "Inadequacy".

My fav for that kind of issue is: "Don't let your problems become mine....."

Thank you for sharing your experience. I think I would have been more than a bit perturbed.

Does it seem that Parkliner is somehow getting worse at customer communication, or are we just hearing more reports of this issue?

I suspect they are overwhelmed. It's a bit of a catch 22. In order to hire employees you need to sell trailers and in order to make and sell trailers you need employees. They have had an employee putting out fires here on the forum. I guess this one got away from them. Unfortunate. Raz
