So we started our trip from Vancover Island to Yellowstone and back again 11 days ago. On the entire trip through BC to Washington over to Idaho down through Montana all the way through Yellowstone (twice) then back through Montana and Idaho to Grand Forks BC.... and we saw 1 abandoned Boler in a field and an Escape 5th wheel in Mammoth campground in Yellow stone (nice color matched yellow dodge truck and pin striping on the trailer by the way)...

So 10 days of camping and driving and 2 eggs!

Until today when we saw a record 4 Boler's and 5 Trilliums on the road from Grand Forks to Vancouver.

Are small eggs just a west coast thing?

Booker, I know they are there somewhere, but I can tell you when we had the resort in Montana, we never had an egg of any kind ( we were a big rig park, but did get smaller rigs in) and can say that I never saw one on the road between Montana and Colorado on any of the many trips back and forth. But last summer on a visit back to Glacier we did spot a couple parked in campgrounds when visiting old campground owner/friends. Their there, just not in mass. Here in Colorado they were a unusual site until the last few years there seem to be more and more on the highways of colorful Colorado. Hope you had a wonderful trip! Robin

Dropping down fron BC into Washington and accross Montana and Eastward, we didn't see another egg until we got half way through S Dakota. It was also from Ontario only headed in the other direction. Get up into Canada's Prarie Provinces. You will see a dozen a day.
