Also, did Robert ever solve the challenge of mounting a curtain for that big, curved, sloped front window? Last I knew, that still had him stumped, and he was asking for suggestions, but that was over a year or so ago.

Remember the idea of getting rid of this was pondered to save money...Monocoque construction that uses the exterior shell of the vehicle to provide structural support. Can anyone tell if it was kept or abandoned? Didn't the original frame only come half way back in a V shape. And the axle (i think) was mounted to the shell. 1956 photo

What are the dark boxey structures hanging from the frame? Storage perhaps, also is the reap pic an optical illusion due to shadowing or is that an accurate picture of the ground clearance?

I believe they are the enclosed tanks underneath.
