Fire at Casita plant

A fire broke out at the Casita trailer plant in Rice late Monday, according to information obtained from Navarro County Justice Center radio dispatch.

At about 9 p.m., the fire was mostly contained but still smoldering and firefighters were working the scene to douse remaining hot spots.

There was no word on the extent or cause of the blaze.

I read that a call from a concerned future Casita owner who has one on order relieved his mind. Seems that there was a small incident that has no effect on production or schedule.

That's certainly good news. After the devastation at Scamp, ya never know! Leave it to a newspaper to only print the bad stuff and not the good stuff!
