Fire at the Casita Factory

Oh my stars:

This morning Rice VFD with automatic mutual aid from Chatfield VFD and Corsicana FD were dispatched to a reported structure fire at Casita Travel Trailers, 5029 S McKinney St #1. Arriving units found smoke showing from the roof. Command requested mutual aid from Emhouse VFD, Powell VFD, Retreat VFD, and Barry VFD. Firefighting efforts were hampered due to the building layout and heavy smoke inside. The fire was eventually located and extinguished. Thank you to all the units that assisted us.
This was posted this morning on the Navarro County Vol. Fire Department FaceBook page

I really hope no one was injured and damages minimal.
Apparently not the first time though according to a thread dated 10-17-2007 by Donna D.
I would link it if I could figure out how

Donna, how did you manage to find that info? Are you FB Friends with the Rice TX fire department?? I'm just in awe of your information collecting ability.

I hope Scamp and Casita aren't taking turns at having fires. If so, watch out Backus, you're next!

Mike it was posted on the Casita Owners Facebook page. I just happened to be on Facebook looking to see if my daughter had posted pictures of my grandgirls. What I posted is the only information so far. Maybe someone in Texas that knows the local news stations or papers can find more info online?

That's sure reminiscent of the Scamp factory fire a few years ago isn't it?

Roger, Roger, Roger. That was 10 years ago. Time flies when you're having fun, huh?

I didn't even know they had insurance. That's what we always said back home when a business burned down.
